Tannon turned 5!

Tannon turned 5, October 14th we had her party the 15th at Grandma and Papa Anderson house, and Tannon wanted a Cowgirl party so thats what I tried to do:)

Tannon by the dessert table, we had cowgirl cake, cookies, cupcakes and cake pops.

And we didn't tell her that she had a pony coming to her party, she was so surprised. It was hard keeping the secret from her but it was worth it cause her face when she saw the pony was priceless. Papa Anderson had a client that has ponies and he set the whole thing up for Tannons party, so a a huge thank you so Papa and Grandma Anderson:)

The pony was so cute, its name was skittles!

The kids were able to feed and ride the pony. They were loving it!

Tannon's party was a success and it turned just how I wanted and Tannon loved it, which is all that matters. I can't believe Tannon is 5, she is growing up so fast. Thanks to everyone who came, we enjoyed having you:)

Indoor Golfing with Friends

A couple of months ago back toward the end of the summer, Brett and Janeal invited us to go indoor golfing with them, I had never been and was curious as to how it worked and I have to say it was pretty cool, we got to golf Pebble Beach, how lucky were we??

Visit from the Tooth fairy!

In August Tannon lost her first tooth, she was so fun, David told me her two front bottom teeth were loose and of course she didn't know what was going on so we explained to her that her teeth are going to fall out and she is going to get her big girl teeth, and then we told her all about the tooth fairy, after that I never have seen her go through so much emotion she was scared, nervous, sad but then excited and could wait. Well the very next day she lost one of her teeth and she was so excited for the tooth fairy to visit and to put her tooth under her pillow and she was so happy she woke up and her tooth was gone and she had money, then that morning at breakfast she lost the other tooth that was loose. What a lucky girl she was to have the tooth fairy visit two nights in a row! The next day she had to go to school but was kinda nervous cause she said the kids would make fun of her but after a lot of tears and explaining that all kids loose their teeth and maybe a little bribery she went to school and had a good day!

This is when she lost the first one. I took a picture with my phone when she lost the other one but I don't know how to get pictures off my phone.

You can tell how far behind I am on my blog because here she has two missing teeth and now her big girl teeth are already all grown in!

First day of Preschool

Tannon started Preschool the middle of August, she could not wait to start school! She loves school and getting to see her friends ever day, she was kinda bumped that most of her friends from last years preschool weren't going to be there cause they started kindergarten but I told her there would plenty of other new friends she could make. It was fun a couple of days before school started my mom came out and took her to the mall to buy some new outfits for school and to lunch which got her really excited to start school cause she had some fun clothes to wear that she picked out!

She has been such a big helper this summer, I am so lucky to have such a good girl. I miss her everyday when she is at school. Its funny everyday I pick her up she asks me "Did you miss me again, mom?" and of course the answer is always yes. Sometimes I tell her I cried the whole time she was gone and its so cute she gets this big girl look and starts to lecture me on how she is a big girl now and she has to go school to learn and I can't cry, it to funny! I love her so much!

4th of July weekend

Every year we head up to the cabin with the whole Anderson family for Heber's 4th of July weekend. They have fireworks, a parade and then a carnival, expect this year because of the fire they didn't do fireworks which was a bumper cause they do awesome fireworks in Heber.

Daniel leaving on his mission/Utah trip

My brother Daniel left on his mission in June, before heading to the airport he came by to say goodbye to the kids! Tannon and Barrett love Uncle Daniel and they always talk about him being on his mission to everyone. It was sad to see him say goodbye to the kids!

Daniel and I really close so it was sad to see him leave but I know he will be an awesome missionary!

So my parent flew him to Utah a week before he had to enter the MTC and stayed with my cousin so that they could have a family vacation before he left, it was fun my brother Christopher who is lives in Idaho for school drove down for a couple of day and then it worked out perfect to were I could go which was so awesome. I drove up with Davids aunt who was in town visiting and then David surprised me with a ticket home. David actually setup the whole thing, it was so nice. I have such a awesome husband. It was so nice spending time with my brothers. I had so much fun. I had never been to Utah before and it was so pretty there.

So as soon as I got to Utah we all went bowling and then out for frozen yogurt. It was girls against boys and who ever lost had to treat for yogurt and of course the girls won:)

So the next day my parent gave us kids money and told us to go out and have bonding time as siblings and of course I took no pictures, sad! But we went to the mall and looked around and tried to figure out what we wanted to do and we decided we would go out to lunch and go to the movies and see the new X Men movie that was out! I had a lot of fun with my brothers, I am so lucky to have such awesome brother, I love them so much!

The next day we did some shopping and then we all went rock climbing, I had never been rocking climbing and I have to say I had a blast.

Then the day before Daniel had to go to the MTC my parents, Daniel and I went to the Salt Lake Temple walked around and did a session and the went for a light lunch and ice cream.

The last day was a sad/happy day dropping my brother off at the MTC. I am so proud of him for going on a mission, he is going to do such a great job because he is such a hard worker and so kind and caring about others.

I had a fun time in Utah. I am sad I didn't take that many pictures cause we did so much and had a blast! Thanks Alisha for letting us stay with you!

Summer swim lessons

The kids did swim lesson this summer, I had them both do 2 sessions just to be safe! Tannon was super good and she probably could have just done 1 session but I thought it be something she could do during the summer to keep her from getting to bored and it doesn't hurt to get extra practice. Barrett was pretty tough the first session he just cried every turn he had but the second session was much better.

Tannon really surprised me because last summer she hated swim lessons but this summer she was loving the water she was like a little fish.

You can tell by Barretts face that he is not happy. Barrett hates the water and when we would go swimming at our friends before lessons he won't even go near the water. During his lessons he would refused to kick his feet or do anything for the first couple of days but everyday got better and better and he actually has become quite the dare devil with water when we go swimming at our friends house, he will just jump in if your not watching, I think I prefer him to hate the water cause now I have to watch him like a hawk:)

Cabin Trip with Friends

So as soon as David got out of school for the summer we planned a cabin trip with Brett and Janeal to make up for the last cabin trip we tried to have. I have to say this one went a lot better, we had tonz of fun!

One of the days we were up there we went bowling in Show low, which was a lot of fun, of course I stink at bowling but we had lots of laughs.

When you tell Barrett to smile and he doesn't really feel like it, this is normally what the smile looks like, he is so funny!

We also brought the wii up, which was fun. It took forever to get the boys to do Just Dance but when they finally did it, they rocked it!

Going Shooting is always a most when we go to the cabin. Before we went shooting we went to the dollar store and got some cheap and fun things to shoot at for targets.

We also went to a near by lake and had a picnic and walked down the lake, we saw some kids skipping rocks and thought we would give it a try, so we tried to see who could get it to skip the farthest and I wasn't so good at that, mine just sunk.

And last put not least we bought this puzzle the first time we went to the cabin with Brett and Janeal but we of course didnt get to finish it so we were able to finish it this cabin trip so we had to get a picture with it. I hadn't done a puzzle in years and it was a lot of fun and very addicting.

It was a really fun and relaxing cabin trip and we are so lucky to have friends like Brett and Janeal they are always so fun to hangout with.

Peters Graduation

My Brother in law Peter graduated from ASU this last May and Tannon and I were able to go and watch the ceremony. In the picture is Peter with Tannon and Krew. What an awesome accomplishment!

25th Birthday

Yes I know my birthday was in May and its September but better late then never, right! I have a lot of catching up to do, so please bare with me!

My Birthday was awesome as always. My brother Daniel made me an ice cream pie and it was to die for, Mint and Oreo my favorite! My Family sure did spoil me and I got a lot of fun things! I am so thankful to have family and friends in my life, they are truly the greatest gift.

Easter 2011

Barrett got bored after a bit and just sat in the sand box and started opening his eggs to eat the candy. We had our friends Brett and Janeal join us for Easter at my parents too, we had a lot of fun. We had yummy food and played volleyball, egg toss, balloon toss and other outside games. I love spending time with family and friends.

Towards the end of the school year Tannon's class took a field trip to the Wild life zoo. I had been wanting to take the kids, so it was fun to go finally. Tannon wanted to invite her Grandma's and she was excited they could come. Uncle Christopher was on break from school and he was able to come too!

So my camera died right at the beginning of the day so these are all the pictures I took. The zoo was so much fun! Tannon got to ride on some rides and feed the giraffes, the giraffes lick the food right out of your hands which is pretty crazy. We had lots of fun.

Service Project

A couple of months ago, I want to say about March sometime, my brother was down from school and he wanted to do a service project so he found this lady that was putting together an exhibit at a farm and needed lots of trees and bushes planted for it, so I thought I would be a nice sister and help him out, we had a lot of fun but hard work digging holes, plus I learned a lot about taking care of plants in Arizona and the correct way to plant them. Also you always feel good doing service for others.

A couple of months ago my other kids came to visit, the reason I call them my other kids is because I babysat them for about three year Morgan was 2 and cooper was 2 months when I started watching them and so they were like my own kids, I love them so much. They moved about a year ago to New Mexico and I have missed them so much, especially Tannon, so it was so good to see them.

The kids love play-doh I think they have like every accessory for play-doh so David and I are always get yummy play-doh food made for us to eat.

St. Patricks Day 2011

So for St. Patrick's Day 2011 we set our trap to try and catch the leprechaun. I did it last year and Tannon had a lot of fun with it, so I thought I would make it a new tradition. This year Barrett got to enjoy the fun and understood what was going on.

This is the next morning! And he got away again with our treasure! Its funny the kids kinda get nervous to look to see if they caught him, I guess a tiny, green leprechaun would kinda be scary to find trapped in a hamper basket,lol!

He may have escaped but he left his tiny green foot prints leading to the closet and the kids found some fun St. Patrick's Day surprises that he left them.

My boy turned 2!

On March 13th, 2011 Barrett turned 2! I can not believe how fast time flies, I wish they would grow slower.

Barrett loves balls so I decided to make his party baseball themed, which he loved!

Here is a close up of the cake and cookies I made, the cake is actually two cookies put together. Barrett also loves cookies so that's why the cake is cookie. It took a lot of work but I think they turned out cute, the things we do for our kids!

My boy is two, that is just so crazy! Of course he is 2 1/2 when I posting this because I am such a slacker when it comes to blogging but he has grown so much! I am so blessed to have Barrett and Tannon in my life, they make my days so much fun and I just love them so much!

Newport Beach and Disneyland

So after Barrett's procedure we headed to Cali for a much needed vacation. The kids in the car on our way to Newport, California.

So we got to Cali pretty late on Tuesday so we went straight to bed once we got to the beach house seeing we were going to be at Disneyland all day the next day.

So the first day we headed to California Adventures and the very first ride we took Tannon on was The Tower of Terror which was a big mistake because she didn't want to ride any rides after that and she just kept asking to go home, but she relaxed a bit throughout the day.

Walking out of Tower of Terror we saw Chip and Dale and I was very surprised Tannon gave them hugs because she normally doesn't like the whole character thing walking around.

So after the Tower of Terror we decided to take it easy and do all the simple kid rides.

Our second day in Disneyland!

The Safari ride! The kids really enjoyed this ride because they both love animals!

The Nemo ride! This ride made me nervous, first of all there is hardly any space and they fit so many people in there and plus I am manager claustrophobic, so I couldn't wait for this ride to be over.

We needed a break from walking around so we decided to take the train that goes around the park for a couple of laps.

And the last ride of the day the Dumbo ride! We did so much more but I didn't seem to take that many pictures. I am not a very good picture taker. We did have like 6 churros in one day and I think I ate most of them, I think that was my favorite part:)

And the rest of the time we just hung out on the beach since it was right out our back door! The kids loved going on walks with Papa they would bring back so many sea shells.

Well we had an awesome time and it was so nice to get away from our regular routine. I can't wait to go back again, I'm thinking I want to make the beach annual thing.

Crazy Weekend

It all started Thursday the start of Davids spring break. David had a week and half off from school so we decided to have some fun. Our plans were to head to the cabin Friday and stay till Sunday with our friends Brett and Janeal and then head to Newport Tuesday till Sunday. Well Thursday we headed to Mesa to get somethings for the cabin and to get the key from David parents. Well at Davids parents house the kids were snacking on peanuts, no big deal they love peanuts. Lately though Barrett has been holding his food in his cheeks and so with playing so hard with Papa and Uncle Max he started to choke and of course everyone is freaking out. David patted him on the back and we all thought we saw a peanut come out but afterwards he still had a bit of cough and he would cough so hard he would throw up, he threw up like 5 or 6 times in like and hour but he was acting normal besides that. So we went home to finish packing for the cabin. That night I made sure to keep a close watch on Barrett cause he was still coughing and throwing up but still same old Barrett. The next morning we headed to the cabin and there was no more coughing and throwing up from Barrett. So the day started out pretty good and we were having tonz of fun. Brett and Janeal are from Utah so we were excited to show them around this weekend we had a lot of fun plans. Then the excitement started all day Barrett wasn't eating very much and kinda had a fever so I gave him so Tylenol and put him to bed about 7:30pm and then Tannon followed shortly after. The rest of us stayed up till at least 11 we had bought a puzzle at the walmart in payson and we were addicted and couldn't stop. Well when David and I finally went to bed, I went to feel Barretts head to see if his fever went down and he was burning up and he seemed like he was restless and not breathing very well so about midnight David and I decided to take him to the Emergency room in Show low we thought if we went then we would have everything resolved by morning and could still have a good weekend. Tannon was sleeping so we left her with Brett and Janeal. We got to Show low and we werent waiting for very long but then when we finally got a little room we waited forever, they ran tests, put him on oxygen, and took an xray. We waited forever for the xray results to come in, then finally the doctor came in and said the xray looked like he had an infection in his left lung and looks like it could be pneumonia. Then I dont know why but then we told him about the whole peanut choking thing everything changed. He looked at the xray closer and he said well now everything makes sense. I guess he aspirated peanuts into his left lung and it was causing an infection. And by the time I knew it Barrett and I were riding in an ambulance to the airport then in the smallest airplane ever, I was freaking out especially when the lady says "try to move to much the back seat tips over" So since Barrett was not screaming anymore and getting a breathing treatment and he couldn't even see that I was there I just closed my eyes the whole time. Well we got to the Phoenix airport and there was another ambulance already there waiting for us they switch us over and we were off to Cardon Children Hospital. And I was so grateful that Davids parents and Brother Max was there to meet me when we got to the hospital cause david still had to go to the cabin get tannon and then drive 3 hours and I still didnt really understand what was going on. David brother Max is a nurse there and he was so much help. He helped me understand and he asked the doctor lots of question seeing I was in shock and I dont know any medical stuff so I didn't know what to ask. Well Barrett ended up having to get an endoscopy done to get the peanuts out of his lungs before it could cause more of an infection, the doctor was super nice and friendly and Barrett was such a trooper and he wasn't even crying as much as I thought he would seeing all this was going and he hadnt slept since thursday night. Well they took him back and it was so sad to watch I defiantly shed tears and I think I went pee like 50 times and threw up a bunch since the second we got to the hospital. I knew it would be a simple procedure but still its my sweet baby boy and still David hadn't got there yet. It took about an hour to do the procedure, we all thought it was just one peanut but it ended up being a bunch of tiny pieces so it took the doctor awhile. They called us back after like two hours cause Barrett was having a hard time waking up. Luckily David got there just in time to go back and see Barrett with me, it was so sad to see him laying there. It took him at least another 3-4 hours to fully wake up since we had gotten back there to see him so I just rocked him . Then it took forever to get us a room cause we ended up having to stay the night cause he still was having a hard time breathing without the oxygen plus they were deciding whether to go back in and do the scoop the next day because there was still more peanuts in there that were to deep to get. We finally got a room and Barrett finally woke up all the way when we were transferring rooms. That evening both Grandparents stopped by and our friends Brett and Janeal even came to visit us, even though we ruined there fun, relaxing weekend.

This was the next morning he wanted to get up and walk around cause he had been in a hospital beds for over 24 hours, but he couldn't go far cause he still had his IV in. We were able to go home later that afternoon but we had to go back Monday for checkup with the doctor to see if they need to go back in and they decided to go in and do the procedure again Tuesday morning just to be safe. Which was suppose to be the morning we were leaving to Newport but oh well. So we went in Tuesday and we were done by noon, everything went really well and he has no more peanuts in his lungs. And since everything went so good and we were done so fast we went home packed and left to Newport.

David and I had our Valentines date the day after Valentines, we went to dinner and the Suns game with some friends of ours.

It was a fun evening, I had never been to a Suns game before so it was super fun to watch and it made it even better that the Suns won, it was such a close game.

We had a lot of fun, we made some awesome friends out here in Glendale so we always have a blast when we get together. It was also nice getting to spend time with David without the kids, even though I missed them so much, but they didn't care they got to spend the night at Grandma and Grandpas which always means they were spoiled to death. I for sure want to go to another game sometime!

Valentines Day

Valentines Day is one of my most favorite holidays, I think its because I have two wonderful kids that I can spoil and love all day long.

We started the day off with some yummy heart shaped pancakes, which they loved.

It looks like Tannon just woke up but in most picture she always has her eye half open.

The kids with there Valentines from Dad and Mom, we put there Valentines on there door knob well they are sleeping, its a nice surprise for them when they wake up.

And after our Valentines dinner the kids got their yummy cupcakes they picked out for dessert.

I just love my two kids so much and I am so blessed to have them in my life. They will always be my special Valentines.

Krew's Crew

In February the whole Anderson Family walked in the Ethans Run to support kids with Heart defect, seeing we have our own little Heart baby in the family. My Sister in law Steph is so creative and with the help of my brother in law, Peter made these super cute shirts for everyone. On the back of the shirt it says "Krew's Crew" It was a neat experience and there were so many people there supporting this great event.

We didn't get any pics at the race so we took some at Davids parents later that day.

Daniels Mission Call

The beginning of February my little brother Daniel got his Mission call and invited family and friends over to my parents to watch him open it. It was exciting we had my other brother Christopher on Skype on the computer and my aunt and uncle on speaker phone and everyone else was able to make it.

He was so nervous, look at his big grin on his face and he hadn't even opened it yet. He was shaking so bad too.

And he is off to Mexico City they are so lucky to have a missionary like my brother there. I am such a proud sister, I have two awesome brothers.

Mini Golfing

Back in January we went with some friends to go Mini Golfing at Castles and Coasters. The kids had never been mini golfing before so it was fun to watch them of course Tannon was the only one that actually golfed, Barrett he just ran around but that was fun for him.

With my help Tannon got like 4 hole in ones which was exciting for her and it made her feel extra special.

Fun at the Park

I took the kids to the park back in January when the weather was nice still, there is a park on the way home from picking up Tannon from school and no one is ever there so I thought I would stop one day, and I had my camera so I snapped a few pics. Now its our favorite park to go to.

Tannon and Barrett love playing together and for Brother and Sister they sure do get along well, trust me they do fight but not too much.

We rang in the New Year at my parents house this year, it was fun we put together a Minute to Win it game which was fun.

Tannon excited that we decided she could stay up as late as she wanted, and of course she made till midnight.

Yep I look tired, I am never able to stay up late, I think I am in bed most nights at 9:30 unless David begs me to stay up and watch movie with him.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning was so exciting in our new home, it made it kinda hard though cause we had to wake up the kids early to open presents and then we had to head over to each of the Grandparents houses.

The kids were so much fun to watch they were so excited even though we had to wake them up, poor things!

Santa brought Tannon a new bike and Barrett and a little quad.

After opening presents at our house we went to my parents house but for some reason I took no picture there, I am bad at taking pictures sometimes.

So the next couple pictures are at Davids parents house.

The grandkids got this fun blow up bounce thing to keep at Grandma and Grandpas house when they are over there, they loved it!

Davids Dads birthday is December 14th so the whole Anderson clan met at Red Robin for dinner and then off to the Train Park to celebrate his Birthday. This was the first time I had ever been to the Train Park and it was alot of fun.

They had the whole park decorated in Christmas lights and you can ride the Train and it takes you around the park and you can see all the lights.

Aflac Womens Run

My Cousin Ashley and I did the Aflac Women's Run on November 14th, we had so much fun, I love running in events they are so motivating.

Trunk or Treat

Saturday the day before Halloween, we went to my In laws Wards Trunk or Treat, since we weren't going Trick or Treating on Sunday we thought it would be fun for the kids, plus it was a lot of fun!

5 year Anniversary

David and I had our 5 year Anniversary October 28th, I can not believe it has been 5 years already, man does time fly. Davids Parents came out to watch the kids and we went to Dillons at Scorpion Bay for dinner, we both had never been there, so it was nice to try something new and the food was pretty good too. After we went to the movies and saw Inception, I had seen the movie and I loved it and thought I would take David, plus I heard it was better the second time. We had a good evening together. It is always nice to spend time together, we don't really get to do much just us since we moved so far from babysitters.

I just want to say how lucky I am to be married to such an awesome husband and dad. He works so hard for our family and I appreciate everything he does. He has been so busy with school and we hardly get to see him much, but when he has free time he always makes time for me and time to play with the kids. It has also been a huge adjustment for me to not be so close to family and not having him home and he has put up with me and listening to all my venting. I love him so much!

Neighborhood Halloween Carnival

My Parents neighborhood had a Halloween Carnival the Wednesday before Halloween and we thought it would be fun for the kids if we went, so we made a trip to Mesa when Tannon got out of school that day. It was nice cause it was my cousin Ashleys birthday that day and the whole family got together for dinner at a restaurant before the Carnival.

Me and Ash at the Restaurant, we are super close so it was nice to be in town for her birthday dinner, we also went hiking that morning for her birthday, it kinda a tradition for us to hiking on each others birthdays.

I would like to introduce the newest member of the Anderson Family, Emma Burk. My sister in law Michelle had Emma October 17th, She is the cutest thing ever and she is so tiny. We made a special trip to Mesa the day she was born just to see our new niece and to see how Michelle was doing.

I am going to start updating my blog so stay tuned but first things first I can not believe I have a 4 year old. Tannon's birthday was October 14th and she asked to have a purple butterfly party, so I worked hard to put that together for her. And it is so sad to say, actually it makes me mad to even think about it, but, I have no pictures of her 4 year birthday. Don't get me wrong I took tonz of pictures, its just that when I put my memory card into the computer to download the pictures, it said my card could not be read, and when I put it back in my camera it said the same thing, so I lost all my pictures. Anyways, so for her actual birthday she had to bring a birthday snack to share to school and I made butterfly sugar cookies and I did purple royal icing on them, they turned out pretty cute and it just happened to be purple day at school so I got Tannon a purple butterfly shirt to wear to school, she had a blast at school with all her friends and for her birthday dinner she picked Red Robin, so thats where we went . And then Friday the day after her b-day we had to go into Mesa for her 4 year old check-up so we decided to have a family birthday party that evening, and let me just say she did awesome at her doctor apt. she had to get 6 shots and she did not cry or get teary eyed one bit, David and I were so proud of her. So for her birthday party I got the Wilton butterfly cake pan and decorated it with purple icing using my star tip, so yes it took forever to decorate but it was worth it cause she loved it and then my mom got purple balloons and we put them everywhere, Tannon requested pizza for her birthday party dinner, so thats what her Daddy suprised her with. She got lots of fun things for her birthday and a purple unicorn pillow that she had been wanting, and kitchen with tonz of play food, barbies, and lots of Barbie clothes and then David, Barrett and I got her a purple sweater dresses, 2 purple long sleeve shirts, purple purse filled with lipgloss and other purse goodies and the purple ugg boots. She for sure got spoiled like crazy, but she deserves it she is such a good girl and David and I love her so much, she is so fun to be with, she is like my little best friend and we do everything together. David and I are so blessed to have her as a daughter and we love her so much! I love you Princess and I am so glad you had a great birthday and again I'm sorry I have no pictures and such a long post but I had to go into detail for her birthday, cause my blog is kinda my little journal too, so enjoy!

David's White Coat Ceremony

October 1st was Davids White Coat Ceremony and Davids parent and I were able to go, its a pretty neat Ceremony they have for all the soon to be health care professionals. The White Coat Ceremony is a rite of passage for students, it signifies the students initiation into the clinical phase of education and toward their career. The White Coat placed on each future health care provider is not just a lab coat, it is a cloak of caring, compassion and service. So it was pretty neat experience for davids parents and I to watch David get his white coat.

Michelle's Baby Shower

My sister in law Stephanie and I put together a baby shower for our sister in law Michelle in September. She is having a girl, and is naming her Emma and she is due October 16th and we are all super excited to meet her, she is going to be one spoiled girl. the shower was a success and everything turned out really good.

Michelle is the one in the middle, ya I know she doesn't even look pregnant,she is so tiny, compared to me and my whale of body when im 8 months pregnant:)

First Day of Preschool

Tannon started preschool on August 11th, she loves it so much. Tannon has meet lots of new friends, but her best friend at school is a little girl named Tailor, Tannon is always talking about her. Tannons teachers name is Mrs. Carrie, and she is so great with the kids and they are always doing some fun things, Tannon loves her!

Every year my side of the family plans a camping trip right around my Dads birthday, so we headed to Forest Lakes the last weekend in July. We look forward to our once a year camping trip, since thats the only camping trip we get each year! This year it did rain alot so it did put a damper on the trip, but we still made the most of it.

While the boys went out shooting the girls and kids took a drive to Black Canyon Lake.

Yes I have been a total slacker with the whole blog thing but I did move and we just got internet on Monday, thats a good excuse, right?? Well anyways now for some major catch up!

So back in July my friend Katie and I took our kids to the Young Chef Academy to take a cooking class, we thought it would be a fun summer activity since preschool, dance and swim were over! Well the kids loved it and they had a good time together.

New House

Its Offical David and I are Homeowners, and we are super excited! We signed all the papers Friday morning before we left to the Cabin for the 4th!

We arent moving in for another month though, we are wanting to paint, tile and redo the backyard before we move in. Tannon is also so excited we went out there with her like a week ago and she was super excited about her new room, now she asks me almost everyday when she can pack her room to move. I will post picture of the inside, when we move in.

New York June 2010

Here is my New York trip, finally! Well in June David, Me, and his family went to New York because Davids oldest brother Jeff was graduating from Vet School, what a huge accomplishment, we are all so proud of him. We got to do a lot of sight seeing while we were there, it was my first time ever in New York, so I of course had a blast.

I could not believe how many people live and visit New York, and it was so fast paced, which I like because that's how I am and I loved walking everywhere, but I did not like the subways, they were super nasty and we even saw rats in them.

We went on a Bus tour and I could not believe this man, all dressed up, green colored hair and posing on the side of the street, thinking he is Hot stuff, it was super funny!

David and I went to "The Empire State" building one night at like 10 o' clock, it was fun to look at everything from up high at night, so many lights, after we went to get ice cream in Time Square, I don't think we got home till almost 1 that night!

Our last night we went to Dave and Busters, that was a lot of fun, I have always wanted to go to the one in Tempe but never got chance, its was a fun place.
One of the days we also went to the King Tut Exhibit, which that was so interesting to see, I love learning new things that happened so so long ago, we weren't allowed to take pictures, so that's why no picture of that!

Well we had an awesome time in New York with Davids family, I for sure would like to go there again but maybe a little longer next time!

Tannons Dance Recital

Tannon had her Dance Recital last friday, and she did such a good job, alot better then last years dance recital thats for sure. She is learning so much and she has grown to really love dance. This was her last year with Higher Ground Dance, seeing we are moving out to Glendale in July but I did find a place for her Dance at out there so hopefully the teacher is as awesome as Ms Whitney.

24th Birthday

Well I am 24 years old now as of May 11th, man i feel old, I dont think its because I am 24 though, I think its the fact that I am 24 and have been married for about 5 years, have an almost 4 year old and a 15month old. But I wouldn't change a thing!

Here is my yummy chococale cake my mom made me for my birthday, its a receipe I have been wanting to try for awhile now and I finally had a reason for it to be used!

Barrett wasnt much help, but I think Tannon actually blew the whole thing out for me. I had an awesome birthday, everyone spoiled me like always, I woke up at 6:00am and went on awesome hike with my cousin Ash, came home to my kids and husband with cards and flowers, then the rest of the day went to lunch and shopping with my mom and then when David came home from work, I had dinner cooked for and he gave me an ipod touch, which I love by the way, Thanks to everyone for making me feel so special!

Pats Run

David and I ran the Pats Run this weekend and we got my family to do it with us, it was such an awesome event there was 28,000 people there so it was super crowded but a lot of fun.

When we got home we checked our places and I got in the 8100 and David was in the 8,700, David and I were 50 seconds behind each other and there was 600 people in between us, that just shows how many people were there, we had a lot of fun though, we can't wait til next year, but we have a race planned every month to do together so that will be fun and it will keep us in shape:)

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend we went up to the Cabin and to my Aunts and Uncles in Snowflake, the weekend was filled with lots of fun.

We left Friday night to the Cabin so we didnt do much Friday besides our normal stop at Walmart in Payson on the way up, we always spend way to much money there, for some reason the Walmart in Payson has way more stuff.

Then Saturday we woke up and went hiking, David so badly wanted to find antler sheddings but he had no luck, but Tannon had so much fun hiking.

Saturday night we drove to my Aunts for Dinner and to color eggs.

This was Tannons first time coloring eggs so she had a good time with Jordan and Jessica doing that.

Look at her big smile! I love seeing my kids smiling and happy.

And of course Easter Morning, we hide Tannons Easter basket this year, so it was fun watching her look for it.

I love this picture she is so happy she found her basket:) The Easter bunny again spoiled the kids but I am so glad for some reason the Easter bunny knew exactly what kind of candy David and I like ;)

David was taking an afternoon nap on the floor and the kids layed down right by him so I had to get a picture it was so cute.

Davids Parents and Us went to my Aunts for Easter lunch and a hunt, there was lots of yummy food.

Easter Egg Hunt at Uncle Max's

The weekend before Easter weekend Max and Steph invited us to come to their community Easter Egg Hunt, the kids had alot of fun, thanks guys for inviting us.

It took Tannon awhile to get in the bounce house, for some reason she gets nervous around alot of kids and would rather be away from crowed places, but we got her in and she ended up having a blast.

The slide bounce house, she didnt even want to try this one at all, but later on Stephs sister brought her kids and her niece, so Tannon ended up going with them on it and she was excited to make some new friends.

And the Easter egg hunt! I think Barrett got like 5 eggs but its all good because I dont think really cared much.

Canning Strawberry Jam

So a few weeks ago we ordered a big case of Strawberries and we decided to make some Strawberry Jam with them, and of course my little help was right by my side the whole time, it was our first time canning Jam and I think it turned out pretty good for first timers.

St Patricks Day

So I was super excited for St. Patricks Day, one of the blog I love to look at she does this tradition with her kids where they get a pot of gold treasure and they set a trap the night before St Patricks Day to catch the Leprechaun, but the Leprechaun always escapes with the treasure and leaves little foot prints to where he hid it, so I was excited to start doing this with Tannon. So the night before I explained to her about the pot of gold and the Leprechaun and how we wanted to see if we could catch him, so she decided to put the gold in a tall hamper basket in the wash room, so thats what we did.

And so the next morning she woke up and was excited but nervous to look to see if we caught him and of course we didn't but she saw the footprints and went on her hunt.

He was pretty sneaky and hid it underneath the pool table and he was super nice cause he added some green treasures with our gold ones we put out for him.

She isn't showing much excitement but she was excited, she was just still trying to wake up, my kids are not morning people.

I love fun little holidays like this, its so much fun for the kids too if you make fun and interesting for them, I think thats why I like it because they have fun with it, plus my mom did stuff like this for us and I loved it!

Barretts Birthday

Well my boy turned one a couple Saturdays ago, March 13th! I can not believe that he is one and walking, kids grow way too fast. We had the family come over for a little birthday party on his B-day and here is a few pictures.

1st 10k

So my News Years goal was to jog everyday and I have been really good at keeping that goal, so I decieded to see how I would do if I signed up for a 10k. My cousin Ashley and I signed up for our first 10k, to be more clear we signed up for our first race ever. We ran Kiwanis/Litchfield Park 10K, 5K, 1 Mile Run on March 6th, I was really nervous cause I did not want to come in last place and I wanted to at least finish the whole run without walking.

Just after I signed in, and of course I get the #1 and I guess its like lucky if you get number #1 so a lot of the runners were making it a big deal, so that was kinda embrassing.

And the race is about to start, you can tell I am little nervous:)

And we did it, There was about 200 runner and I was 122 place so I didnt come in last and I finished the whole thing without walking, it was such a great experience and Im planning on running a lot more races, I got David to run the Pats run with me on April 17th so that will be fun! But Ash and I had alot of fun and we had al ot of support there to cheer us on :)

Cabin Trip

So a couple of weekends ago David and I decided we need a much needed weekend trip to the Cabin, so off to the snow and to relax:)

On are way to the Cabin we always stop at Walmart in Payson and we are so glad we did cause we got super good deals on Snow clothes, so when we got to the Cabin Tannon was so excited to put her stuff on, so they are in there new snow clothes!

The next morning playing in the snow, I was so glad there was some snow just right outside the Cabin cause if it got to cold for Barrett I could go inside with him and still watch Tannon and David.

After some morning Snow fun we headed in to Showlow and had lunch, went shopping and got some more good deals and went bowling, we had a lot of fun:)

On Saturday night Davids parents came up and joined us and on Sunday morning Tannon and Papa played in the snow forever they went sledding, built a snowman and made snow angels, she loves her Papa Anderson so much!

We came home Sunday afternoon and when we got to the rim it was so foggy you could barely see, I tried to take a picture of the fog but it doesnt really show how bad it was. Well that was our weekend, we had a lot of fun and we got to have some good family bonding time, we always enjoy going to the cabin.

Valentines Day Fun!

Ok to start off last weekend all the boys in the family went hunting for the weekend and when ever they do, my Aunt comes into town and we craft, and here are the three crafts we made. Since Valentines day was the very next weekend we decided to stay with the Valentines theme. I think all of them turned out pretty cute, right now I am trying to find a St Patricks Days crafts so if anyone know of one please pass it along!

Then this last Saturday my Sister in law Michelle and I decorated cupcakes together, we took a cake decorating class together so we are all into decorating cakes and cupcakes right now, we had fun!

I tried to make these cute Valentine Bug Cupcakes but they didnt really turn out that well.

Then Saturday night David and I went out to dinner with the kids for Valentines Day to Red Robin and then out shopping, then we came home put the kids to bed and had my Parents watch them well David and I went to the 9:50 showing of "The Valentines Day" it was a cute movie! I dont think david and I have came home after midnight since we were dating, how sad!

Then Sunday Valentines Day, Tannon woke up to a Valentine from Dad and Mom hanging on her door and to a heart pancake breakfast before church.

This little guy has been through so much and he is such a tough guy. We love him so much and we are so very grateful to have him in our family.

This picture was when he was born, he was born on Dec 23rd, isn't he so cute?

David and I went out to visit him yesterday, he is out at St. Johns right now. Krew had heart surgery last Monday and he was such a trooper, he is doing really good and he has grown so much since last time we saw him.

Gilbert Library

So yesterday afternoon we decided to take the kids to the Gilbert Library and walk around, to get out of the house for bit. It was a pretty day and the weather was perfect for an outside outing.

David was amazed by this duck in the above picture, he said he had never seen that color of a duck before so he had to take a picture. (Its the duck that is the color of the grass)

As we were walking around we turned a corner and we some some geese just strolling around, so that was excited for Tannon, there was another family looking at them and they were nice enough to share a cracker with Tannon to give the geese, I was very surprised that she actually gave the geese the cracker, cause I mean the geese made me nervous, so I stayed my distance.

We had a good afternoon together, next time we go we want to have a picnic there and maybe I will remember to bring bread or crackers for the ducks and geese.

Zoo Lights

Last night we went to the Zoo Lights with Davids Parents, we had a good time, minus the long walk to get to the zoo. I hadn't been since I think High school, so it was fun to see and Tannon loves Christmas lights so she had a blast.

Davids 27th Birthday

Davids birthday was yesterday, he turned 27! David is not a big fan of birthdays but he did let me take him out to lunch and have a birthday dinner with all the family. I only took two picture during the birthday dinner and here they are. This weekend I am taking him to the movies too! Well Happy Birthday Babe, I hope you had a good day. I am so grateful to have a husband like I do, he is so amazing and I am grateful for all he does, most importantly by being a great dad!

David let Tannon help him blow out the candle, she loves blowing out candles, she helps everyone blow out their candles on their birthday. It was so funny Tannon would tell David Happy Birthday like ever 5 min, so he got alot of Birthday wishes this year.

Christmas Happenings

For Christmas my side of the family had a Chrismtas Eve party, we had yummy food, games, gingerbread house making contest, Christmas stories and sang Christmas songs, we all had a lot of fun!

Me and my two brothers, it so sad my brother Chris the one in the middle just got back from his mission in November and is leaving tomorrow for school in Idaho, I am going to miss him again.

We had a Gingerbread house Contest and the teams were each of the families and you will never guess which family won, yep it was our family.

Both of my kids got super spoiled this year, and now I have to find spots for more toys.

Barrett really didn't care about Christmas one bit, but Tannon loved it and was so excited, she even remembered to put cookies and milk out for Santa and lets not forget carrots for the reindeer.

And the kids got spoiled yet again at Grandpa and Grandma Anderson. We all had a great Christmas and love being with both families for the Hoildays.

Oh and even more exciting David and I are now an Aunt and Uncle. Davids brother Max and wife Stephanie had their little boy Krew Morgan Anderson on the 23rd, he is so cute and we are so happy to have him in our lives.

Family Park Day

We decided to go to the park on a Saturday, David normally works on Saturdays but he happened to have it off so we decided to go out for lunch and to the park as a family that day. We didnt stay to long at the park because it started to rain.

So yesterday morning I was watching the kids play and Barrett started to do something funny, so I called out to David and said "Babe come here and look at Barrett." I look over to see if he was coming and he was like running at me fast, he picked me up so tight, and I was like what is going on, it kinda scared me a bit and then all of a sudden he yells "I got accepted to Midwestern University." He was so happy with a big smile on his face. So we are off to Glendale in like 6 months and we cant wait to start a new adventure together. The kids and I are super proud of David he has worked so hard for this and I know he is going to great. We Love You Babe!

The Phantom of the Opera

Wednesday night David and I went to see The Phantom of the Opera with Davids family, it was a really good play. I had only seen bits and pieces of the movie, so it was hard for me to understand, but I loved it. My favorite was all the Ballet dancing. We really had a great time, thanks to Davids parents for taking us.

So this year was our first year carving a pumpkin together as a family, we had alot of fun. David got home from work on Saturday and we went to the Pumpkin patch on Baseline by our house and let Tannon pick her out a big pumpkin, she was so excited.

Daddy helping her clean it out, it was funny she would not use her hands to pull stuff out, she had to use the scoop and if she got stuff on her hands she freaked out. She has never been all about having dirty hands.

We went online and looked at all the different patterns and Tannon picked out a friendly pumpkin face she said. I started to carve it out but David took over cause I was supposedly ruining it.

And there it is, our friendly pumpkin!

Tannon loved Trick or Treating, after every house she would tell David and I "One last house!"

We all had a good Halloween and Tannon was so amazed by how much candy she got, the next day i went through her candy, so that I could throw away all the questionable candy and she was freaking out that I was throwing some of it away, but after explaining to her why I was doing it, then during the day when she would pick a candy, she would bring it to me and say mom is this candy ok, it was cute! Well I hope everyone had a great Halloween! I better go to bed so I can wake up in 3 hours to to see my hubby, his plane gets in from Pittsburgh at midnight and I cant wait to see him, even though its only been a little over a day.

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Halloween, I hope everyone has a good night trick or treating.

My Mom got the kids these cute Halloween P.js and I took a picture of them last night in them and thought I would share it.

And the below pictures are of the kids playing yesterday, Im so glad that they already like playing together, they have so much fun when they play, they just laugh so hard at each other. Their new thing lately is climbing in and out of the table between the chairs and they laugh the whole time.

And last night David and I finally celebrated our Anniversary, we got my parents to watch the kids and we went out to Olive Garden, I had not been there in forever and it was so good. Then to work off some of our food, so we could go out for dessert too, we walked around Best Buy looking for a new camera, we decided it is time for an up graded camera. Then we were going to go to the cheesecake factory for dessert but decided to try Freddy's Frozen Custard instead, which it was pretty good so I recommend everyone to try it. We had a good night together. I love you so much David!

When we got home from our night out, I forgot to take one well we were out!

And then finally what I made and gave David for our Anniversary.

I made him a book of some special memories we have had together. I know its a girl thing to give a guy but he liked it, and its so fun to look back on memories.

Neighborhood Carnival/ Dance Halloween party

Last night we went to our Wards Neighborhood Halloween Carnival, it was super cold but we had alot of fun, Tannon didn't really want to play any of the games cause she was so cold, but she still had fun!

Tannon was a Daddy's girl all night, I guess cause he is bigger and she could snuggle up to him and keep warm.

Barrett snuggled up in the carseat, I think we all wanted to be his shoes, nice and warm!

4 Years!!!

Today is David and I's Anniversary, I can't believe it has been 4 years and we have two kids. I just wanted to tell David how much I love him and that I am looking forward to many many more years with him, I am so lucky to have a husband like him, he such a hard worker, he is always thinking of our family, he always knows how to make me smile and he is such a wonderful dad, our kids love you so much! I love you Babe and Happy Anniversary!

P.S. I couldn't find any recent pictures of us, so I used wedding pics, obviously alot happens in 4 years if your wondering why we look so different. I will post more about our anniversary later we are celebrating over the weekend and I wanted to show everyone what I made him but I haven't given it to him yet, so hang in there!

Well the past few weeks have been busy busy, so sorry its been over a month since my last post, so here is a major long post. Here are some pictures of what has been going on.

First Tannon turned 3 on October 14th, I can't believe I have a 3 year old, crazy!
This year we had a friend party for her and then a family party.

This is my awesome cake I made for her for the family party, I am pretty proud of it!

She got embrassed when we sang Happy Birthday, so I guess covering her eyes helped.

Tannon had alot of fun with all her friends, so thanks to everyone that could come! I felt bad for the kids though cause I thought it would be nice outside and not hot but it was so hot, their poor faces were red.

We decided to open presents inside so everyone could cool off!

I thought I should put some recent pictures of the kids on my blog, they have grown so much, so here are some pics I took of the kids yesterday.

Here are the kids together, Tannon is such a big helper when it comes to Barrett. She is like his little mom, she loves to hold him, giving him snacks and talking and playing with him. When she talks to him you should hear Barrett he just laughs, screams and smiles so big at her, you can tell they love eachother so much. Tannon has grown so much and I cant believe she will be 3 in one month, we love her so much.

Here is our happy boy, seriously he smiles all the time, I could be having the worst day and all I have to do is look at him and he smiles so big and everything changes. David and I love him so much and we are so grateful for both of our kids.

On Saturday I took a Class at Scrapbook etc. with my Sister in law, Michelle and this is what we made, it was alot of fun and I learned alot of new things, some of the flowers were a little frustrating to make but it all turned out and I love it. So a few weekends ago we went to San Diego with Davids Parents. We had alot of fun we went to Seaworld and played at the beach, Tannon had never been to neither so it was a fun experience for her and it was exciting to see expressions towards things. First Day of Preschool

Yesterday was Tannons first day of Preschool, she was super nervous about going cause she knew that I was taking her but that I was leaving and was not going to be there with her, but when we got there she did really good, once she saw the other kids, she didnt even notice that I left. I think she is the youngest in the class but David and I really want her to get in 2 years of Preschool before Kindergarden, hey its never to early to start your childs education. It was so cute when I picked her up yesterday the first thing she said to me was "Mom, I missed you so much!" I have to say I was lost without her at home, I didnt know what to do. Well I hope she does good the rest of the year. I will give updates.

Camping 09

So last Wednesday to Saturday we went camping with my whole family up at Black Canyon Lake, we had a good time, here are a few pictures of our camping trip!

Our camp site, you cant see our tent but it was off to the left a little more, it was nice the kids slept in the trailer with my Mom and Dad, so I knew they were safe and warm.

Well we had a good time and we got to relax alot, we played lot of games and we went on lots of hikes which was nice, cause I didnt ruin my goal of working out everyday! We had alot of fun, but we were super excited to come home on Saturday and take a shower!

What we have been up to.....

Here are a few things new in our family, we haven't really been doing much but for some reason our days are not long enough and they are busy, busy.

Well last Saturday Barrett got his first haircut, he did really good, better then i thought, but he kept turning his head to find what was making the noise from the clippers.

He also kept trying to eat the cape the whole time. This kid sees something bright and colorful and it goes straight in his mouth.

And here is the handsome boy with his new haircut.

Then I took Barrett for his 4 month check-up yesterday, 4 months I can't believe it! Well we have a skinny and tall boy, he weighed 14 lbs and in the 39% for that and then he was 29.5 in. tall which put him in the 95% for that and he is healthy, healthy.

The doctor said we could start him on rice cereal so for afternoon lunch we tried it, to my surprise he really liked it, i didnt think he would like it,cause he does not like anything but his bottle.

This was him when I couldn't get his next bite fast enough to hi,, poor thing!

Then on Sunday my Aunt came to town and my mom, Aunt and I made a few different crafts we had 5 we wanted to make but we only finished 3, so here they are:

I know its not Spring anymore but we saw this Spring banner and loved it, so we had to make it. This project took us almost two days.

Some other things we have been up to that I dont have pics of but I can tell you about are, David has been busy, busy studying for his DAT he is taking on Tuesday and he has been working on getting his Application ready for Dental School. I went with my In-laws, Michelle and Peter to see Wicked last thursday and it was awesome I really enjoyed it. I also have been working really hard training for this run my cousin and I are doing in November. My Family got my brothers release letter from his mission pres. and he is released on November 17th which is so exciting, I can't hardly wait. And Tannon and I have been going swimming like 3 times a week, I am trying to work on her swimming, I havent been able to find a swim teacher for her yet, so I am just trying to teach her a bit on my own. Tannon also goes to the movies once a week, we are doing the 10 movie thing at Harkins this summer, she really looks forward to Tuesdays when she gets to go. Well that all thats going on right now, we are going camping next week so that will probably be my next post, unless something something excited happens,so until then:)
